We are seeking a dedicated and experienced deputy Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in the hospitality industry, particularly within restaurant or pub environments. As a deputy Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing daily operations, ensuring food safety standards are met, and managing a team to provide an outstanding dining experience.
Responsibilities
* Assist in the management of daily operations within the restaurant
* Supervise and train staff members, fostering a positive team environment
* Oversee food preparation and production processes to ensure quality and safety standards are upheld
* Maintain high levels of cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen and dining areas
* Collaborate with the management team to develop menus and special offerings
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and best practices
* Handle customer enquiries and complaints with professionalism and courtesy
* Support inventory management, including ordering supplies as needed
* Participate in staff meetings to discuss performance, goals, and improvements
Experience
* Proven experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality sector, preferably in restaurants/ hotels/ pubs
* Culinary skills with experience in food preparation and cross training.
* Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in food production
* Excellent leadership abilities with a focus on team management and development
* A background in serving or customer service is highly desirable
* Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
* Must be available to work every other weekend
