Role Overview
We require an enthusiastic Locum Consultant Radiologist to join our team of 23 Substantive Consultant Radiologists. The appointee will be primarily based at either Eastbourne DGH or Conquest Hospital Hastings, although this may change depending on service need.
Qualifications
* Full GMC registration.
* High level of clinical experience and competence in General Radiology.
* A strong commitment to the development of subspecialty areas of interest in addition to core skills.
* Ability to participate in the development of Radiology services.
Responsibilities
* Provide first line on call as a Specialty Registrar or Staff Grade radiologist until 10pm weekdays and 5pm weekends (on call outsourced to a reporting company overnight).
* Check scans the following day as part of a 1 in 8 rota, ensuring quality assurance and education.
* Provide daytime cover for malignant cord compression MRI at weekends on the same 1 in 8 rota.
* Engage in teaching with four radiology trainees on rotation from HEKSS deanery.
* Participate in audit and continuing professional development activities.
Working Hours
On‑call duties and rota schedule as above; daytime cover for specific cases.
