We’re seeking dedicated Learning Support Assistants to join our friendly team in Banbury, supporting children and young adults with a range of additional needs. This is a highly rewarding role where you’ll help young people develop confidence, life skills, and independence — all within a nurturing, inclusive environment. Your Key Responsibilities: Provide emotional and practical support tailored to each child or young person. Assist with daily routines, including personal care, education, and engaging activities. Encourage creativity, confidence, and social development through play, learning, and community participation. Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a positive, child-centred atmosphere. Approach challenges calmly and constructively, with a solution-focused mindset. About You: Naturally caring and compassionate, with a genuine passion for supporting young people. Understanding of the emotional and developmental needs of children and teenagers. Able to create a safe, fun, and empowering environment. Confident in assisting with routines and day-to-day practical tasks. Experience in childcare, education, youth work, or support is desirable (but not essential). A driving licence is beneficial but not required. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team. Creative, empathetic, and motivated to engage students with diverse needs. Previous experience supporting young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is an advantage. Willingness to complete personal care and manual handling training if required.
