About the Role
We are looking for an experienced
Technical Manager
to oversee remediation projects across a large residential portfolio. This
Technical Manager
role is critical in ensuring compliance with building safety regulations and delivering high-quality remedial works that protect residents and maintain our reputation for excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Management:
* Lead technical aspects of fire safety and remediation schemes from inception through to completion.
* Coordinate design, specification, and implementation of remedial works in line with current legislation and best practice.
* Manage and work with Principal Designer
Compliance & Safety:
* Ensure all works comply with Building Safety Act, Fire Safety Act, and other relevant regulations.
* Liaise with building control, warranty providers, and statutory bodies to secure approvals.
Design Coordination:
* Manage consultants and contractors to deliver accurate technical solutions.
* Review and approve drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
Stakeholder Engagement:
* Communicate effectively with internal teams, residents, and external stakeholders.
* Provide technical advice and support to project managers and site teams.
Quality Assurance:
* Monitor site works to ensure compliance with design and safety standards.
* Implement robust quality control processes and maintain accurate documentation
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Technical Manager or similar role within residential construction.
* Strong knowledge of fire safety regulations, cladding remediation, and building compliance.
* Excellent understanding of UK building regulations and warranty requirements.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders effectively.
* Strong communication and leadership skills.
