Our multidisciplinary team supports people with complex, life-limiting conditions, helping them achieve comfort, dignity, and the best possible quality of life. We are looking for an experienced Band 6 Physiotherapist with a strong background in palliative care, neurology, and respiratory physiotherapy to join our supportive and dynamic team. About the Role As a key member of our therapy team, you will provide specialist physiotherapy assessment and intervention for patients with diverse and complex needs in the inpatient, outpatient and community settings. You will work collaboratively within the hospice’s multidisciplinary team, contributing to individualised care plans and supporting patients and families at all stages of their journey. Key Responsibilities Deliver high-quality, evidence-based physiotherapy to patients with life-limiting and progressive conditions. Provide expert respiratory physiotherapy, including secretion management and breathlessness strategies. Support patients with neurological conditions through tailored rehabilitation and symptom-management programmes. Contribute to holistic palliative care through mobility assessment, symptom management strategies, and promotion of functional independence. Work closely with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, and other MDT members. Participate in discharge planning, goal setting, and complex case discussions. Offer education and guidance to patients, families, and carers. Provide supervision to junior staff and students where required. Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives. About You Essential: HCPC-registered Physiotherapist. BSc/MSc Physiotherapy. Significant post-registration experience including palliative care, neurology, and respiratory physiotherapy. Strong clinical reasoning and assessment skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work autonomously as well as within a multidisciplinary team. Compassionate, adaptable, and committed to delivering person-centred care. Desirable: Experience within a hospice or community palliative care setting. Non-medical prescribing qualification (or willingness to work towards, if applicable). Involvement in service development, audit, or research. Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP).
