Overview
Lead Buyer, New Product Development at Videojet Technologies.
You will join Videojet, a Veralto company, a world leader in product identification, providing in-line printing, coding and marking products, consumables, and software solutions. Videojet’s technologies play a critical role in ensuring the safety and authenticity of products across the globe in the food, beverage, pharmaceutical, and industrial marketplaces.
Responsibilities
* Participate and take ownership of new product development procurement activities from early-stage identification of market requirement through to product launch.
* Complete components planning and procurement (dock to stock); onboard suppliers, meet delivery and cost targets, and hand off product planning to Commodity Managers and Buyer-planners.
* Collaborate with Suppliers, Engineering, and Supply-Chain teams to support delivery of world-class products and services.
* Represent Procurement in cross-functional project teams to deliver the new product on time and on cost.
* Provide regular reports and updates on project status, including cost and on-time delivery.
* Interface with recent acquisitions to develop and implement Global Procurement best practices for product development innovation and VAVE.
* Develop and manage the prototype supply base and end-of-life supply base.
* Negotiate favorable commercial terms for Videojet.
Typical day and Location
This is a hybrid role based in Huntingdon, UK or Nottingham, UK.
Essential qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree (technical background desirable).
* 4+ years of professional Procurement experience (or related Supply Chain, Operations, or Project Management roles) with a global outlook.
* Microsoft Office experience (Outlook, Word, Excel).
* Familiarity with ERP systems (Oracle preferred).
* Lean Manufacturing certifications desirable.
* Travel up to 25% may be required; regions may include Europe, the US, and parts of Asia or South America.
