Main Duties and Responsibilities
Research
* Conduct background research on practice areas and jurisdictions.
* Determine which lawyers to contact for interviews with your Research Manager's support.
* Perform probing interviews with lawyers and in-house counsel via phone or online questionnaires.
* Log communications accurately and assess research progress.
* Follow leads from provided materials or own research.
* Build relationships with key market participants.
Analysis
* Analyze data to create impartial ranking tables.
* Develop understanding of jurisdictions and practice areas through interviews and desk research.
* Identify opportunities for expansion in your areas.
* Assess law firms and lawyers' strengths and weaknesses for accurate rankings.
Editorial
* Create informative, business-focused editorials for the Chambers website.
* Ensure accuracy and confidentiality in editorial content.
* Highlight what makes each firm unique and appealing to clients.
* Understand personalities and strengths of leading lawyers.
* Meet research, ranking, and editorial deadlines.
* Proactively report challenges and take ownership of the process.
* Write internal reports to guide future research.
