Development Manager

This role leads a diverse portfolio of housing schemes – from land‑led developments to refurbishments and S106 acquisitions – and helps shape the future of housing in Wales, championing design excellence, sustainability and community benefit.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead end‑to‑end delivery of housing projects from feasibility to post‑completion.
* Ensure schemes meet programme, budget, quality and compliance targets.
* Champion high standards in housing design and delivery aligned with WDQR standards and net‑zero goals.
* Manage funding applications, planning strategies and statutory consents.
* Provide strategic leadership to Project Managers and Quality Officers.
* Drive continuous improvement, innovation and community engagement.
* Represent Hafod in strategic forums and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
What We’re Looking For
* Degree or equivalent in a construction or development‑related field.
* Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
* Commercial acumen with experience managing budgets over £5m.
* Knowledge of Welsh Government housing policy and funding mechanisms (desirable).
* Passion for delivering high‑quality, sustainable homes that make a difference.

* Salary of £63,000‑£66,000 per annum (depending on experience).
