Responsibilities
* Assist with personal care tasks like changing nappies, dressing and undressing.
* Give breakfast and dinner (always chicken dippers, no chef experience needed).
* Care for the child's gastrostomy tube, providing milk and medication.
* Support a non‑verbal autistic child with global developmental delay, responding to his needs.
Qualifications & Attributes
* Reliable with good timekeeping.
* Able to follow instructions and work on own initiative.
* Hygienic, tidy and well organised.
* Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties.
* Patient and possess excellent interpersonal skills.
* Honest and cheerful.
* Creative.
* Speak and read English to a reasonable standard.
* Work to high standards of health & safety.
* Previous experience working with autistic children.
* Non-smoker or vaper.
* Special Education Needs (SEN) experience.
* Special education: 2 years (preferred).
* Driving Licence (preferred).
Hours & Schedule
* Term time: 8 hours per week over two days (typically Tuesdays and Thursdays).
* Approx start time 7am – 8.30am morning, 3.30pm – 6pm evening. Exact hours confirmed at drop‑off/pick‑up by LA.
* Holiday time: average 24 hours per week – 3 full days across Tuesdays‑Thursdays during school holidays.
* UK driving licence and access to own vehicle desirable but not essential.
