This role is Hybrid and will require office visits a few times a month in Welwyn Garden City.

As a Staff Product Owner, you will play a pivotal leadership role, guiding a team of Product Owners and Product Analysts while taking full ownership of the product strategy and development lifecycle for our Retail solutions.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with business stakeholders to define the overarching vision for multiple products—across both software and hardware. Your leadership will extend beyond your immediate team, as you'll actively support the Head of Retail Technology, regularly engaging with senior executives and contributing to high-level strategic initiatives.Lead the development and maintenance of both inflight and long-term (3-year) roadmaps for our card and terminal platforms—spanning software and hardware. Collaborate with senior stakeholders to align product plans with business goals and support strategic financial planning.
~ Oversee End-to-End Product Development
Manage daily priorities, support user acceptance testing (UAT), and ensure support teams are fully equipped to handle new products and features.
~ People Leadership – Product Owners and Analysts
Manage and support the Product Owners and Analysts, providing clear direction, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and championing their professional growth and development.
~ Encourage collaboration and knowledge exchange between Product Owners and Analysts to balance workload and improve efficiency—especially during fluctuating demand periods.
5+ years' experience in a senior or lead Product Owner position
~ Experience working with senior business stakeholders to determine roadmaps and financial plans
~ Experience in mentoring / coaching of Product Analysts and Product Owners
~ Experience working with team leads and delivery managers to ensure projects are delivered on time.
~ Experience of working in a DevOps delivery team
Previous experience of working with DevOps engineering teams, and experience of Jira or Azure DevOps
Experience of working with canary releases and an understanding of the value that A/B testing brings to the products journey
This position will have a mix of remote and onsite working at our Welwyn Garden City office.
