Role
This firm is looking for a 2-5 years PQE Solicitor to join a leading department specialising in Public Procurement and Subsidy Control Law.
The role offers the opportunity to advise on a diverse portfolio of Procurement and EU State Aid matters within a well-established Competition team.
You will advise on the Public Contracts Regulations 2015, the Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2015 and the new Procurement Act 2023. Ideally, you will also have had exposure to UK subsidy control and EU State aid law, as well as broader trade-related matters.
Alongside this, you will work alongside experienced professionals across the UK and internationally, supporting both public and private sector clients. You will engage in high-profile and complex cases, including litigation, compliance and strategic advisory work, particularly in infrastructure, energy, logistics and government projects.
Your Experience
* 2-5 years of PQE with experience in Public Procurement Law.
* Working knowledge of relevant Procurement legislation.
* Interest in UK subsidy control and EU State aid law.
* Excellent legal research skills and the ability to navigate on complicated Procurement matters with a risk-based, commercial approach.
* Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
* A team-oriented mindset and a client-focused approach.
* Enthusiasm for internal and external business development and a strong interest in innovation.
