Job Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality support to children and young people in a residential care setting.
Assist with daily living activities, ensuring the well-being and safety of all residents.
Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, their families, and colleagues, creating a supportive and nurturing environment.
Implement individual care plans, monitor progress, and make necessary adjustments to meet the evolving needs of the residents.
Encourage participation in social and recreational activities to support personal development and community involvement.
Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Participate in team meetings, contributing to the development of best practices and care strategies.
Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring the safety and security of all individuals within the residential environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Experience : 3- 5 years within a similar environment
Qualifications : MUST HAVE NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare or equivalent (or be willing to work towards).
Communication Skills : Strong verbal and written communication with the ability to build rapport with young people, families, and colleagues.
Teamwork : Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
Empathy : A genuine passion for supporting children with diverse needs and backgrounds.
Organisational Skills : Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Safeguarding Knowledge : Understanding of safeguarding, health and safety regulations, and a commitment to keeping young people safe.
Flexibility : Adaptability to meet changing circumstances and the individual needs of residents.
Enhanced DBS : Must hold an Enhanced DBS check (on the update service preferred).
