Security Officer – B&Q Washington (Sunderland)
Pay: £12.40 per hour | Hours: 27 hours per week (Part-time)
We're looking for a professional and reliable Security Officer to join our team at B&Q Washington. You'll be a key part of keeping the store, staff, and customers safe while providing a friendly and visible security presence.
What you'll be doing:
1. Protecting people, property, and assets in line with site procedures
2. Monitoring CCTV and responding to incidents or safety concerns
3. Maintaining a calm, professional approach with customers and colleagues
4. Completing incident reports and routine security checks
5. Following health & safety and legal requirements at all times
What we're looking for:
6. Previous security experience
7. Valid SIA licence (Security Guarding or Door Supervision)
8. CCTV licence (or willingness to obtain)
9. SC clearance is desirable
10. Good communication skills and a professional, approachable attitude
