Guitar Amplifier Electronics Design Engineer
Location: 100% Office Based in Northampton, Northamptonshire
Working Hours: Monday – Friday 08:00-17:00. Overtime may be required during busy periods.
Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum (DOE)
Summary
Pin Point is looking for a Guitar Amplifier Electronics Design Engineer for our client based in Northampton. The client is an internationally recognized audio design and amplification company run by musicians passionate about their craft.
The Guitar Amplifier Electronics Design Engineer will join the R&D team and play a key role in developing new audio products from initial design through to production and post-production maintenance.
Responsibilities:
* Project lead and design of system architecture.
* Responsible for all research and full development of assigned projects throughout their lifecycle.
* Contributing innovative design ideas to advance Blackstar’s technology.
* Building and testing electronic prototypes.
* Brainstorming new product ideas and technical specifications.
* Communicating with UK and overseas teams on project-specific topics.
* Assisting with daily technical activities within the R&D department.
* Possible, infrequent overseas travel to broaden knowledge and experience (not essential).
Qualifications:
* Degree in electronics or a similar engineering field.
* 5+ years of commercial experience in electronic design, preferably in audio electronics.
* Experience working with ADC/DAC, Op-amps, and related components.
* High-speed digital electronics experience with microcontrollers and DSPs.
* PCB layout and design experience.
Desirable Skills:
* Proficiency with Altium design software.
* Understanding of EMC considerations during design.
* Experience managing projects from concept to mass production.
Attitudes:
* Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
* Strong numerical and analytical skills.
* Guitar or bass player is preferred.
* High attention to detail.
* Independent and self-reliant.
* Flexible approach to work.
