DATAHEAD are partnering with a leading global reinsurance group to appoint an ambitious Underwriter to join their expanding European portfolio team in London. This is a rare opportunity to move into a front-line underwriting role with direct exposure to senior leadership and high-value speciality business across multiple classes.
The Role
Working closely with the CUO and senior underwriters, you’ll support the origination, pricing, and underwriting of a diverse portfolio of (re)insurance business. You’ll take ownership of deal analysis, portfolio performance monitoring, and bespoke risk evaluation — while liaising directly with brokers and clients on transactions typically valued between £10m–£15m.
This is an ideal next step for a portfolio or underwriting analyst who has developed strong technical, analytical, and pricing skills within specialty or reinsurance markets and is now looking for a more client-facing, underwriting-focused role.
