The Role

As a Production Support Coordinator, you'll have a role that's engaging and challenging. Supporting the work on building and repairing both current and future defence systems within launch and handling systems.

Your work will contribute to shaping the future of submarine capability within defence. Utilising our track record of innovation, you'll continually develop your knowledge and expertise in all things Repair/manufacturing too.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Acting as lead PMRO specialist (production controller) with maintenance, repair and overhaul of products and equipment to ensure that they are repaired efficiently, operate effectively, and are maintained to the highest standards.
2. Collaborate with other teams and stakeholders, including Facility manager, Project Management, Production engineer (R&O), Engineering, Procurement & Supply Chain and Quality to ensure that products and equipment are delivered and aligned to customer needs.
3. Create shop orders, work packs, drawing folders and other relevant paperwork for new projects
4. Raising requisitions for quotes for spares to repair assemblies
5. Raising pick lists for allocation of spares for repair
6. Registering and upkeep of Task Order Form register to ensure we are working to required milestones

This role is full time and is based on site at Ashton Vale, Bristol. The working hours and shift patterns are Monday - Thursday 07:30am - 16:00pm and Friday 07:30am - 12:00pm

Essential experience of the Production Support Coordinator

7. Preferably, but not essential, a background in manufacturing and Repair and Overhaul.
8. Ability to work autonomously at times but also as part of a larger team.
9. Computer literate and able to pick up new software/ERP (IFS/SAP etc)
10. Knowledge of Health and Safety in a manufacturing working environment
11. Intermediate project planning

Qualifications for the Production Support Coordinator

12. Formal Engineering Qualifications would be beneficial.

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role. However, the successful candidate will be eligible to start on Standard (BPSS) security clearance but will need to obtain Security Check (SC) security clearance once in post.
