Job Description
3. Leading technical and strategic advice on non-contentious construction aspects of major property and regeneration projects
4. Structuring and negotiating development agreements, building contracts (e.g. JCT/NEC), bonds, guarantees and professional appointments
5. Driving high-value engineering and energy sector mandates (onshore wind, hydro, solar, battery, tidal/wave) across the UK
6. Mentoring and supervising fee‑earners, providing training, and contributing to knowledge-sharing and best practice
7. Identifying and pursuing business development opportunities, leading client engagements, and enhancing firm-wide strategy
The Successful Applicant
8. Qualified solicitor status in Scotland or England and Wales.
9. Specialist knowledge of non-contentious construction law.
10. Experience working with standard forms such as JCT and NEC contracts.
11. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in a legal context.
12. Excellent communication and client relationship management abilities.
13. A commitment to maintaining professional expertise in the construction industry.
