As an experienced Tyre Modelling Engineer (m/f/d), you will have strong knowledge of tyre models and tyre modelling concepts with a bias towards real-time capability. This role is a key position within the Vehicle Performance Department, supporting race and road car programs, focusing on tyre and tyre model aspects, including overall car performance, handling, and model correlation. The role requires cross-functional collaboration with engineers from various disciplines to improve car performance.

Your Tasks:
* Propose methods to maximize tyre performance based on simulation and data-driven approaches
* Parameterize tyre models using empirical and semi-empirical data
* Support tool development for automating tasks like parameter fitting
* Serve as a technical advisor on tyre performance topics
* Ensure full car and tyre model correlation
* Support tyre testing, including trackside and rig testing
* Report analytic investigations systematically and quantitatively
* Assist R&D projects with planning, analysis, and reporting
* Support other vehicle dynamics activities such as suspension, aerodynamics, brakes, and ride
The successful candidate will:
* Hold at least a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field; a Master’s or Ph.D. is advantageous
* Have proven expertise in simulation and tyre model development
* Possess advanced understanding of tyre modelling and performance factors
* Be proficient in scripting languages like MATLAB and Python
* Have knowledge of car sensors related to tyre performance and operating conditions
* Exhibit attributes such as:
o Methodical and analytical problem-solving skills
o Excellent communication and technical documentation skills
o Ability to work effectively in a team
o Flexible attitude in a dynamic environment
o Fluency in English (spoken and written)
