Your new role
As an Electrical Fitter, you'll be responsible for the installation, testing, and maintenance of electrical systems and components within complex mechanical assemblies. Working from detailed engineering drawings and specifications, you'll ensure all work meets stringent quality and safety standards. You'll collaborate closely with engineering and production teams, contributing to the build and integration of cutting-edge systems used in demanding operational environments.
Key responsibilities include:
Electrical fitting, wiring, and assembly of components and systems
Fault-finding and diagnostics
Working on detailed schematics and technical drawings
Supporting testing and commissioning activities
Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and quality proceduresWhat you'll need to succeed
To thrive in this role, you'll need:
A recognised electrical qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent)
Proven experience in electrical fitting within a manufacturing or engineering environment
Strong understanding of electrical schematics and technical documentation
Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to work
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Commitment to high standards of safety and qualityExperience in defence, aerospace, or similarly regulated industries would be advantageous but not essential.
