Our client, a leading organisation in the Highways sector, is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their Commercial Team. In collaboration with Design and Road Safety Teams, the successful candidate will manage the full life cycle of design-build schemes delivered under Options A, C, and E of the NEC3 Term Service Contract. This role requires meticulous planning, cost management, and effective communication to ensure timely and budget-friendly project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and manage cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports
Conduct risk, value management, and cost control
Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions
Liaise with clients, contractors, and project teams for successful project delivery
Monitor project progress and manage change effectively
Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities
Evaluate completed work and arrange payments to contractors
Provide advice on contractual claims and disputes
Job Requirements:
Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field
Experience with NEC3/4 or similar construction contracts
Strong analytical and negotiation skills
Proficiency in cost management
UK driving licence
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Organised and deadline-oriented
Analytical and numerical with strong attention to detail
Ability to maintain confidentiality in line with GDPR
