We are seeking a talented individual to join our Marsh Public Sector Team. This role can be based in the Reading offices. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.The role: New Business BrokerAs part of the Marsh Public Sector Team you will work to provide customized insurance and risk management solutions specifically for housing clients across the UK. You will manage a portfolio of potential housing clients, analyse their needs based on detailed data and tender requirements, and create presentations to secure insurance coverage from various markets.The role requires close collaboration with sales and broking teams to develop strategies, meet deadlines, and build strong relationships with insurers and stakeholders. You will also ensure smooth handovers to client servicing teams and help design insurance programs that meet client specifications, including working on pricing and fees with the Sales Director.Previous experience within insurance Broking or New Business is ideal but Insurance underwriting may be considered.We will rely on you to:Manage a rolling portfolio of housing client prospects, providing tailored insurance and risk management solutions that align with their formal tender specificationReview/analyse large sets of data/information, ascertaining what is required and creating broking presentations for the various insurer marketsWork closely with the Sales Director & Sales Executive and other members of the New Business team to agree individual strategies for every prospect & ensure all relevant deadlines are metBuild strong relationships with insurers and internal & external stakeholdersUnderstand how the client servicing team operate to ensure when a client is handed over it is done so in a full & complete mannerIdentify and develop strategies for clients’ risk management and insurance needs, in conjunction with the Sales Director, Sales Executive & Broking Manager, that can be implemented in a successful bidPropose insurance program design activities, ensuring alignment with client tender specificationWork with Sales Director on required feesWhat you need to have:Proven insurance experience, preferably in Property-Casualty (Combined) classes but the role will cover a wide ranging spectrum of insurance classesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong relationship-building and management abilitiesAnalytical mindset with problem-solving skillsAbility & willingness to learn new skillsAbility to work to defined & tight deadlinesWhat makes you stand out:Previous client-facing experience and a dynamic approachAbility to remain calm under pressure and work flexibly as neededKnowledge and understanding of the public sector and social housing sectorCert CII qualification, with progress towards ACIIWhy join our teamWe help you be your best through professional development opportunities, interesting work and supportive leaders.We foster a vibrant and inclusive culture where you can work with talented colleagues to create new solutions and have impact for colleagues, clients and communities.Our scale enables us to provide a range of career opportunities, as well as benefits and rewards to enhance your well-being.Marsh McLennan is committed to embracing a diverse, inclusive and flexible work environment.
