Contract: Until Summer 2026 Holidays (potential of permanent contract)
I'm currently supporting a warm, community-focused primary school in the WF9 area of Wakefield, and we're looking for an enthusiastic, resilient and committed primary teacher to join the team from January 2026. The Role
This is a varied and rewarding position that combines teaching with leadership and wider school involvement.
Afternoons - Year 6 Teacher (20 pupils):
You'll work with a small but complex Year 6 class. These pupils need someone calm, patient and nurturing, with strong behaviour management and the ability to build trust.
Mornings - Leadership, PPA and KS2 Support:
Your mornings will include leadership time, PPA cover and support across Years 3-6. This role gives you the chance to work closely with colleagues, share expertise and contribute to progress across the phase.
What We're Looking For
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Strong KS2 experience, ideally including Year 6
* Confident, consistent behaviour management
* Someone empathetic, resilient and committed to supporting pupils' emotional and social development
