A well-established and fast-growing MGA, specialising in Mid/SME commercial insurance across London and regional markets, is seeking an experienced and commercially-minded Development Underwriter to join its Property and Casualty team.
This role involves underwriting new and renewal business within delegated authority levels, collaborating with brokers to grow a profitable portfolio, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
* Underwrite and manage a profitable portfolio in line with underwriting guidelines.
* Develop and maintain strong broker relationships to drive retention and new business.
* Evaluate risk and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
* Work with internal teams to identify cross-selling and scheme opportunities.
* Meet personal and team performance goals.
What You Bring
* Underwriting experience, preferably in a trading or development capacity.
* Strong broker network and excellent interpersonal, analytical, and decision-making skills.
* A commercial mindset and the ability to work independently and proactively.
