The IPT Lead is the customer’s primary technical point of contact (TPOC) and is responsible for maintaining the proper balance between the customer’s satisfaction and Moog’s contracted scope of work. They coordinate the technical interactions between Design, Product Support Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Supply Chain, and Quality organizations.

Responsibilities

* Demonstrate the leadership qualities necessary to lead and maintain an effective and cohesive team, including humility, people smarts, and clear communication across functions and management.
* Demonstrate charisma, trust, and technical acumen for resolving complex issues involving engineering, operations, supply chain, quality, programs, and customer considerations, prioritizing cross‑functional collaboration.
* Support the full lifecycle of the platform, focusing on deterministic execution of development programs and rapid resolution of production or field quality issues to sustain positive customer relationships.
* Maintain accountability for baselined plans from technical, scope, budget, and schedule perspectives, leading and validating Comprehensive‑Estimation‑at‑Complete (CEAC) activities, variance explanations, and Return‑to‑Green (RTG) planning.
* Ensure technical solutions and initiatives are fully integrated into functional and division business objectives, priorities, and technology roadmaps, aligning with division and site leadership to assess future business needs.
* Act in coordination with Functional Engineering, Product Engineering, the Office of Chief Engineers, and Business Unit/Program leadership to ensure successful NPI efforts, effectively managed through production ramp‑up and sustained throughout the production run.
* Deliver on technical, scope, budget, and schedule commitments made to Moog’s Business Sector and customers for development and production programs, using earned value management (EVM) techniques and project management fundamentals.
* Reduce the potential for product quality issues before they impact a customer, maintaining confidence in Moog as a critical partner.
* Establish relationships with customer and Moog networks built on trust and competence, delivering transparent communication and actively listening to the voice of the customer.
* Demonstrate effective systems thinking, balancing technical performance, producibility, product quality, business considerations, and customer needs.
* Provide technical perspective and guidance on potential business decisions that may have long‑term financial or strategic impact, influencing efforts to increase profitability.
* Maintain awareness of customer and Moog technology roadmaps, aligning efforts to meet future needs and position Moog to offer innovative solutions.

* Extensive years of experience in a leadership role; bachelor’s degree in Engineering required; advanced (graduate level) degree in Engineering or Business is a plus.
* Demonstrated business acumen, with the ability to engage the right organizational resources to quickly and effectively resolve problems.
* Demonstrated ability to influence and persuade in high‑pressure situations.
* Relevant industry experience is highly desirable, with a balance of strong leadership and relationship building.
* Proven capabilities in managing and working collaboratively within a multicultural, geographically dispersed environment.
