Salary - £62,500 - £81,500
Reporting to: VP Product and Tech Delivery

Where in the world of Kaluza will I be working?
You’ll be working across both Product and Technology, within our Delivery and Portfolio function to establish an internal knowledge management practice and support the Kaluza Product and Technology community, including:
* Kaluza’s Product community: A group of Product Managers and Leaders focused on translating complex needs into simple and innovative solutions that solve real customer and business problems.
* Kaluza’s Technology community: A large team of both data-led and product focused Software and Production Engineers, pushing the boundaries of technology and working at an extraordinary scale. As a collective we strive for engineering greatness and by ensuring best practices across the board of the community.
What will I be doing?
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Knowledge Manager, a critical role that will ensure our product teams, engineers, customer support, and other internal stakeholders have the information they need to build, support, and scale our innovative platform effectively.
As a knowledge manager, you will:
* Develop and implement a comprehensive knowledge management strategy for Kaluza's internal product documentation, aligning with overall business objectives and product development lifecycles.
* Establish and enforce documentation standards, guidelines, and best practices to ensure consistency, accuracy, and clarity across all internal product documentation.
* Work closely with product managers, engineers, designers, and other subject matter experts to identify documentation needs, gather information, and translate complex technical concepts into clear and concise content.
* Organize, structure, and maintain the internal product knowledge repositories, ensuring information is logically categorized, easily searchable, and up-to-date. This includes defining and managing content hierarchies, metadata, and tagging conventions.
* Implement and manage knowledge management tools and platforms (e.g., Confluence, Slides, etc.) to optimize content creation, storage, retrieval, and collaboration.
* Champion a culture of knowledge sharing within Kaluza, promoting best practices and encouraging active participation from all teams in contributing to and utilizing the knowledge base.
* Conduct regular audits and reviews of existing documentation to identify gaps, inaccuracies, and opportunities for improvement.
* Develop and deliver training sessions to internal teams on how to effectively create, contribute to, and utilize the internal resources.
* Track and report on key knowledge management metrics to demonstrate the value and impact of documentation efforts.
* Stay informed about industry best practices in knowledge management, technical writing, and information architecture.
Is this the job for me?
You should be an experienced Knowledge Manager with:
* 5+ years of experience in a Knowledge Management, Technical Writer, or Information Architect role, with a strong focus on internal product documentation in a technology-driven environment.
* Proven experience in developing and implementing knowledge management strategies and frameworks.
* Expertise in structuring and organizing complex information in a clear and intuitive manner.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
* Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders across different teams.
* Experience with various knowledge management platforms and tools (e.g., Confluence, Jira, SharePoint, or similar).
* A solid understanding of product development development lifecycles (PDLC) and agile methodologies.
* Proactive and self-motivated with a strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Bonus points if you have:
* Experience in the energy or utility sector.
* Familiarity with API documentation best practices.
* Experience with user experience (UX) principles applied to documentation.
