An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our vibrant learning community within Simpson Primary School. The school is a non-denominational school serving the community of Wester Inch in Bathgate, West Lothian. The school accommodates 22 mainstream classes and a nursery class, with a current roll of 603 children in P1-P7 and 110 children in the nursery class.

The school works very closely in partnership with parents/carers and the wider community, and it has a very active and effective Parent Council that helps to enhance the experiences of the children and raise funds for a range of additional resources.
One of the key strengths within Simpson Primary is the culture of collegiate working, and it is within that ever-strengthening culture of continuous improvement that the school will work together with the whole school community to take forward identified priorities.
The Class Teacher role will have a clear focus on leading and delivering high-quality learning experiences for all of our learners within Simpson Primary School. The successful candidate will follow West Lothian Council policies.
A relevant teaching qualification and registration with the General Teaching Council for Scotland is essential.
This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful candidates will be required to join the Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check prior to commencing employment, and the cost will be met by the candidate.
