We are looking for a full‑time level 3 qualified practitioner to join our team who is passionate and committed to providing amazing experiences and learning opportunities to ensure that all children receive the highest standards of care and education.
Responsibilities:
* Provide a caring and stimulating environment for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years.
* Maintain the health and wellbeing of children in our care.
* Actively contribute to the monitoring and recording of children's development and share information with other professionals both internally and externally.
Main duties of the job:
* Adhere to OFSTED Standards & Regulations.
* Ensure compliance with child protection procedures.
* Take the lead in the absence of the Room Leader.
* Take the lead in providing a challenging and quality care education.
* Adhere to nursery and Trust policies and procedures.
* Maintain the health and safety of the children in our care, carrying out risk assessments when required.

About us
South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust offers leadership and improvement training to all new staff. This training programme has been designed to support our staff in developing their understanding of leadership and management skills. You will be expected to attend the following training sessions:
* Service Improvement for Beginners (one and a half days of training).
* Further leadership and improvement training opportunities, alongside a range of additional in‑house courses and bite‑size programmes through our Leadership and Improvement Team.
Qualifications
* NNEB / BTEC / NVQ 3 in Early Years Care and Education or equivalent.
* GCSE English grade C or equivalent in English.
Knowledge
* Demonstrable communication and interpersonal skills.
* Knowledge of the Requirements of the Childcare Act 2009.
* Knowledge of safeguarding responsibilities and processes.
* Knowledge of Ofsted standards & regulations.
* Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage.
* Relevant experience within a childcare setting.
* Experience of working with the Early Years Foundation Stage.
Experience
* Work placement experience within a childcare setting.
* Experience of working with the Early Years Foundation Stage.
