If so, Southern Housing has an exciting opportunity for a Scheme Housing Officer to join our team in the Hastings and East Sussex area. Reporting to a Team Manager, you will play a crucial role in providing support to our Independent Living Sheltered Schemes.
Your responsibilities will include offering a frontline service while ensuring the safety and proper management of our schemes to support residents in living independently within active communities in Hastings, Sussex. To excel in this role, you must possess a full clean UK driving license with access to your own vehicle and be willing to work 5 days a week on schemes. You should demonstrate an understanding of the diverse needs of older people, possess exceptional customer service skills, and be able to work collaboratively under pressure.

What you'll be doing
* Deliver an effective customer-focused housing management and support service working with multi-agency partners, embracing Southern Housing culture, current and future legislation, policy, procedure, and best practice.
* Deliver the service in line with agreed parameters for the role.
* Conduct assessments of risk and need and provide personalised support to residents.
* Understand the housing management performance targets relevant to your scheme(s) and take action to contribute to their achievement.
* Work closely with other agencies to ensure residents can access a full range of services and support.
* Maintain administration systems and databases, processes, accurate records, and provide monthly performance reports and other information as required.
What you'll need
* An understanding of the diverse needs of older people.
* Able to develop partnership working internally and with other agencies to generate effective solutions to problems.
* Ability to manage time and tasks effectively, work well under pressure both individually and in a team.
* Customer-focused with experience in providing excellent customer care.
* Able to work flexibly, prioritize work to meet deadlines, and work under pressure with minimal supervision.
* Able to respond to customer feedback and complaints professionally at all times.
* A commitment to taking personal responsibility for sharing information.
