We are looking for a Full Time Nursing Support Worker to join our busy Outpatient's team, based at Withybush General Hospital. The successful candidate will also be required to cover sessions in both South Pembrokeshire Hospital and Tenby Cottage Hospital.
The Outpatients service currently runs from Monday to Friday with hours ranging between 08:00 and 18:00. You will work as part as the nursing team performing a range of duties to ensure the smooth provision of clinics. Duties include undertaking a range of clinical observations/tests, to act as a chaperone during consultations and assist clinicians with procedures. Full induction and training will be given to the successful candidate.

We cover a wide range of specialities including Vascular, Orthopaedics, Colorectal, General Medicine and Ear Nose and Throat clinics.
The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, organised, committed to give high quality care and be able to work as part of a team. You will consistently ensure that a patient's privacy, dignity and psychological well-being is always maintained and that the care given is patient centred. You need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. We need individuals who are forward thinking, well organised with a positive attitude towards flexibility and change.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post. Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Person Specification
Qualifications and Knowledge
* Level 3 qualification in a health care related subject Or Equivalent experience and can evidence work based competency demonstrating theoretical knowledge, and the ability to undertake clinical care duties relevant for the role which is gained through experience and worked based training/short courses
* Knowledge of the Code of Conduct for Healthcare Support Workers in Wales and All Wales Delegation Guidelines (HEIW)
* Knowledge of relevant policies and procedures within a healthcare setting for example the principles of Safeguarding adults/children to keep patients within their care safe, and confidentiality for example General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR)
Experience
* Experience of working within a relevant health or social care environment, providing direct patient care
* Experience of working with patient groups relevant to area of practice
* Experience of working within the NHS
Skills and Attributes
* Welsh language Skills are desirable levels 1 to 5 in understanding, speaking, reading and writing in Welsh
