**Freelance Developer Needed – Financial Analytics Dashboard (Web App + Data Visualization)**
PROJECT OVERVIEW
We are building a web-based financial analysis platform that allows users to upload company financial statements and visualize how changes in energy prices impact profitability.
The system will:
Accept uploaded financial statement PDFs
Extract key financial data
Run an energy cost sensitivity model
Display results through interactive dashboards embedded on the website
We are looking for a freelancer who can help build the data processing pipeline and web-based dashboard visualization layer.
KEY STEPS ( SEQUENTIALLY)
1. Financial Data Extraction
Build a backend system to extract structured financial data from uploaded PDFs
Identify fields such as Revenue, COGS, Operating Expenses, EBITDA, etc.
Extract commodites assciated with energy inputs (Crude oil, Gas Etc)
Tools may include Python libraries (pdfplumber, tabula) or AI document parsers
2. Financial Modeling Logic
Implement backend logic to simulate impact of energy price changes on:
Cost of Goods Sold
Operating profit
Profit margins
Generate multiple scenarios (e.g., +5%, +10%, –5% energy price ( Crude Oil WTI/Brentt, Gas Price )
3. Dashboard Development (Frontend Visualization)
Develop interactive financial dashboards for the website using JavaScript charting libraries such / / / Highcharts
Visuals may include:
Profit sensitivity charts
Margin impact analysis
Cost structure breakdown
Scenario comparison charts
4. Backend–Frontend Integration
Create APIs to send processed financial model data to the frontend dashboards
Ensure dashboards update dynamically per uploaded dataset
Work with existing website frontend/backend (already developed)
* REQUIRED SKILLS
Strong experience with Python (data processing & backend logic)
Experience extracting data from PDF financial documents
Knowledge of financial statements (Income Statement, COGS, margins)
Experience with JavaScript charting libraries,, Plotly, etc.)
Experience building data-driven dashboards for web applications
API development & integration
