Are you an experienced manager or leader within a community mental health setting, do you have experience or an interest in working with Looked after and Adopted children and their families and carers? Then we want to hear from you.
As a Community Team manager working in the CFYP Looked After and Adopted Children’s Team you will be working alongside a multi-disciplinary team supporting the mental health and wellbeing of some of the most vulnerable young people. As well as the exciting opportunity to manage the CFYP LAAC service this role has a further peripatetic component, allowing for the successful applicant to gain a wide range of experience across the CFYP service line.
We work closely alongside Social Care and the young people’s carers, particularly supporting those young people who are experiencing attachment or trauma related difficulties as a result of their past history.
Main duties of the job
To ensure safe caring, responsive, high quality service is provided to service users, their families and carers within the clinical environment by ensuring compliance with Statutory and Regulatory requirements and Trust Policies, pathways, standard operating procedures and protocols.
They will allocate work accordingly within the team to ensure effective and efficient use of resources to ensure service users and carers needs are met, and monitor the team’s contribution and performance to the overall objectives of the Trust.

Person specification
Qualifications
* RMN, Dip SW, or Dip OT, or HCPC registered
* Experience in working within Community Mental Health Services
* Ongoing professional development, Higher degree or post graduate certificate in area of clinical / therapeutic practice - Post basic teaching qualification - ILM certificate in management or equivalent
* Able to demonstrate experience at a senior clinical level including staff management / supervision experience
* Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team
* Evidence of providing leadership in a Mental Health care environment including service development
* Previous experience of working with Complex case management
* Competent and effective treatment skills
* Care planning skills
* Establish performance management team structures and systems
* Ability to prioritise own workload
* Competent IT skills and service development
* Knowledge of medication and the monitoring of its effects
* Build on/develop further knowledge of psychosocial interventions and their appropriateness
* Build on/develop further specialist knowledge of health and promotion
* An understanding of policies and guidelines both local and national
