Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse or Paramedic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to perform under pressure in situations. As a Nurse or Paramedic, you will be responsible for providing care and ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and comfort.
Duties
Undertake to write patient care plans.
Implement plans for tasks such as preparing patients for infusions, treating wounds and monitoring pulse, blood pressure, oxygen levels and temperature and observe and record the condition of patients check and administer drugs and injections.
Set up drips and assist with tests and evaluations, and carry out routine investigations.
Respond quickly to any emergencies
Reassure patients and their relatives and communicate effectively with them, and advocate on behalf of patients, along with educating patients about their health - this may include education sessions on topics relevant to the patient's needs
Organise staff and prioritise busy workloads, and mentor student and junior nurses
Maintain patient records and make ethical decisions related to consent and confidentiality.
Be responsible for the overall Health & Safety of self, staff, clients and visitors under the health and safety regulations. Report any hazards, potential hazards or defects and take appropriate action.
Take accountability for the medication/vitamins infusion or injections administered strictly in line with IV Health Care's polices and procedures, adhering to the NMC code of Professional Practice and the NMC Guidelines for the administration of medications or (HCPC) Health & Care Professions Council.
Keep accurate records according to IV Health Care's procedures, e.g. drug administration, accidents and incidents and care planning.
Attend and lead meetings with management and staff that contribute to the overall effectiveness of the company.
Undertake any other duties or training consistent with the role. This is not an exhaustive list and may be reviewed at any time to reflect current or changing practices.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in accordance with protocols and regulations.
Qualifications
Valid Nurse or Paramedic certification or equivalent qualification recognised by relevant authorities.
Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
Experience administering injections and performing critical care procedures is highly desirable.
Previous experience in a private practice or care setting is an advantage.
Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining composure in high-stress situations.
Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
