Job Overview
We are seeking an organised, self‑motivated and approachable individual, who enjoys working in a challenging and busy environment, to join our friendly team in Respiratory as admin and clerical staff for a busy Outpatient department.
The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the administration function of the service, supporting clinicians to deliver high quality patient care.
Position based at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, one of the largest NHS teaching trusts in the country.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as the first point of contact for patients and visitors to the department.
* Provide comprehensive reception support, including taking messages and using the department technology.
* Deal with patient enquiries in a sympathetic and confidential manner, signposting people appropriately and maintaining a high standard of customer care at all times.
* Update Trust patient information systems to ensure accurate patient information and demographics are recorded.
* Responsible for the accurate booking, amending, and checking in and out of all patient appointments.

* Good interpersonal skills in oral and written communication, able to communicate in a professional manner across a range of services and professionals.
* Flexible approach to work and ability to work as part of the wider administrative team.
* Ability to work independently, using own initiative.
* Confident in using a computer.
