About Us
STARK is a new kind of defence technology company revolutionising the way autonomous systems are deployed across multiple domains. We design, develop and manufacture high performance unmanned systems that are software-defined, mass-scalable, and cost effective. This provides our operators with a decisive edge in highly contested environments.
We're focused on delivering deployable, high-performance systems, not future promises. In a time of rising threats, STARK is bolstering the technological edge of NATO Allies and their Partners to deter aggression and defend Europe today.
Your mission
As an IT Support Technician, you will be the backbone of our day-to-day IT operations in the UK. You will serve as the first point of contact for our team, ensuring that our office and production environments run smoothly. This is a hands-on role focused on maintaining endpoints, assisting with identity management, and providing high-quality technical support across multiple domains.
While you'll report into the broader IT leadership, you will have significant autonomy in managing the local "boots on the ground" requirements. You'll help implement secure systems, maintain hardware, and support our staff, ensuring that technical friction never gets in the way of our mission.
This role is ideal for a proactive problem-solver who enjoys a mix of user-facing support and behind-the-scenes administration in a high-security, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
* Provide responsive hands-on technical support for hardware, software, and connectivity issues for both office and production staff.
* Deploy, configure, and maintain laptops, workstations, and mobile devices, ensuring they meet company security standards.
* Execute seamless onboarding and offboarding processes, including hardware provisioning and account management in Okta and Google Workspace.
* Assist in the upkeep of local server rooms, networking equipment, and audio-visual systems.
* Help enforce IT security policies and compliance controls in line with MOD and ISO 27001 standards.
* Maintain accurate asset registers and create "how-to" guides for internal staff to improve self-service capabilities.
* Identify recurring technical issues and suggest ways to automate or simplify routine tasks.
* Coordinate with global IT teams and the CISO on global initiatives, security policies, and process standardisation.
* Ensure that production environments remain operational and troubleshoot local network or hardware failures promptly.
Qualifications
* Proven experience as an IT Support Technician or Junior Sysadmin covering multiple IT domains: networking, endpoints, IAM, support, and SaaS tooling.
* Hands-on experience with Okta (or similar), Google Workspace, and endpoint management systems.
* Experience in regulated or high-security environments is a strong advantage.
* Ability to work independently and make operational decisions.
* Strong problem-solving, prioritisation, and troubleshooting skills.
* Comfortable documenting systems, processes, and workflows to support scaling and knowledge transfer.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with global teams in a fast-paced start-up.
* Flexible and adaptable to evolving requirements and urgent operational needs.
* Willingness to travel as needed between sites.
* Must be eligible for SC or DV Clearance (or already hold).
