Finance Clerk
* Annual Salary: £26,000 to £28,000 pa
* Location: Diss, Norfolk, UK
* Job Type: Part time 25 hours per week.
Reed Accountancy Norwich are seeking a dedicated Finance Clerk to join our client's team. This role involves ensuring accurate and high-quality financial reporting to support decision-making, providing accounting support across various teams, and maintaining efficient financial operations.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Maintain workflow by managing and processing incoming accounts emails.
* Accurately process and maintain records including Sales Ledger (SL) and Purchase Ledger (PL) invoices, expenses, credit cards, and other transactions across multiple divisions and currencies.
* Provide accounting support to operational, corporate, and commercial teams, as well as to UK and Regional Directors and JV Partners.
* Assist in the preparation of schedules and analysis for year-end accounts completion.
* Support spend analysis reports to aid in budget setting.
* Perform credit checks on clients and suppliers as part of KYC/DD checks, including analysing credit scores against predetermined criteria.
* Test new companies on SAP and new processes and procedures.
* Support the completion of corporate, supplier, and client KYC requests with financial information.
* Prepare weekly reports and Accounts Team slides.
* Drive improvements in our processes and systems across all aspects of financial operations.
* Manage owned and delegated company procedures in compliance with change control processes, considering privacy and security.
* Handle day-to-day issues as they arise or other duties as required by the management team appropriate to the scope of the role.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Proven experience in financial reporting and accounting support.
* Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
* Proficiency in financial software, preferably SAP.
* Previous bookkeeping experience / AAT Level 1.
* Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to comply with all relevant safety, environmental, health, and quality standards.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
