The Role
We are seeking to appoint a passionate, experienced, senior member of the kitchen team; working closely with and reporting to the Head Chef. To produce quality food to menu specifications in a high turnover unit and for on-site functions as required.
This post will have full responsibility for all aspects of the kitchen when the Head Chef is absent, maintaining the required high standards. Motivating the kitchen staff to achieve targets and maintain high standards in the Chef's absence is essential. Creativity and enthusiasm for good food and its presentation is essential. Working hours are Monday - Friday 07:30 - 14:30 during Term Time (36 weeks per year). Additional evening and Saturday working may be required for catered events.
An understanding of budgetary control and elements of catering costs will be essential. To work with the Hospitality Management Team & Team Leaders and undertake training to deliver projects that will develop food production, management & customer service. To undertake a training programme in accordance with the role.
