The Role -School Cleaner 10hrs per week Pinnacle Group are looking for a Part Time Cleaning Operative to ensure that the internal school facilities are cleaned to the required standard as directed by the Facilities Assistant and/or Superintendent. (Pudsey Bolton Royd Primary School) Working Pattern: 10 hours per week Mon to Fri 5pm - 7pm (Including School Holidays) Duties/Key Responsibilities To comply with the service level agreement. To ensure appropriate PPE/Uniform are always used during working hours. To ensure the correct use of cleaning materials and understand the safe use of all substances and managed to COSHH regulations. To ensure the correct collection, storage, and removal of waste/rubbish from work area to collection point. To ensure you are adhering to the colour coding directives and are regularly changing mop heads, cloths, and other equipment. To check and replenish all consumable dispensers in all the toilets and tea points. To attend to spillages and other emergency cleaning. To clean and sanitise touch points, door handles, push plates, and other surfaces. To attend training as and when required. Damp-wipe tables, chairs desks and hard surfaces Vacuum all soft floors and carpets including barrier matting Emptying waste bins Sweeping and mopping floors Clean toilets, urinals, hand basins, sinks etc. Cleaning of classrooms, offices and tea points. Advising Manager of materials/equipment required, ensuring stores and equipment are kept secure and in accordance with health and safety requirements To take instruction and advice from the Site Lead and Cleaning Supervisor Deep cleaning and use of cleaning chemicals Cleaning of internal glazing Periodic deep cleaning during specified school holidays Reactive cleaning including disinfection as necessary Being proactive by noticing deficiencies in the facilities and bringing the defect to the attention of Facilities Assistant and /or Superintendent Any other duties as required (as per the cleaning schedule) to ensure a clean environment is provided, including but not exhaustive of hygienic cleaning to communal areas Be observant for H&S / damage issues and ensure that they are reported to management Facilities Assistant and/or Superintendent. Skills Required Good communication skills. The ability to work alone or as part of a team. Good knowledge of the use of cleaning chemicals. Cleaning experience in a school environment would be preferred, however full training will be given. Amenable and approachable personality. Flexible and adaptable approach.
