Overview
Applicants should demonstrate a high level of clinical experience and competence in General Radiology. Development of subspecialty areas of interest in addition to core skills is encouraged and the successful candidate is expected to participate in the development of Radiology services. The Radiology Department is actively involved in teaching with four radiology trainees on rotation from HEKSS Deanery. Audit and other continuing professional development activities are positively encouraged. This post will be offered on the Terms and Conditions in line with national pay scales. Applicants must have full GMC registration.
Responsibilities
* Provide General Radiology reporting and day-to-day image interpretation with a focus on quality assurance.
* Participate in development of Radiology services and subspecialty interests.
* Support teaching and training of radiology trainees; contribute to audit and CPD activities.
* First-line on-call cover by SpR or staff grade radiologists until 10pm weekdays and 5pm weekends; on-call outsourced to a reporting company overnight.
* Act as part of a 1 in 8 rota for quality assurance checks of scans and education; daytime cover for Malignant Cord Compression MRI at weekends on the same 1 in 8 rota.
Qualifications
* Full GMC registration.
