Job Description
We are seeking a talented Associate to join our Business Outsourcing Services team in Beaconsfield. In your role, you will work with clients and their finance teams or bookkeepers, helping them with year‑end accounts, management accounts, bookkeeping, VAT returns and cloud accounting software support. You will also gain exposure to working with Partners and invaluable experience working with senior members of staff. Progression within this team is fast, with responsibility from an early stage. Once studying for your chartered qualifications, you will take on a more senior role and help supervise new trainees. As your experience grows, you may have opportunities to work on ad‑hoc assignments such as software implementation projects, cloud accounting software “health‑checks”, or client secondments to assist their finance function. You will receive internal training from the professional services learning and development team. This is a permanent role to be based at our Beaconsfield office, full‑time 5 days per week.
Responsibilities
* Work as part of a team to provide clients with statutory accounts, bookkeeping, management accounts, VAT returns, software implementation and “health‑checks” of their systems.
* Develop an understanding of our clients and their businesses.
* Keep your manager fully informed of any issues and problems, ensuring the work is completed to a level agreed with the manager and recording clearly and concisely the work carried out.
* Become familiar with our internal accounting software as well as other cloud accounting technologies.
* Provide advice and solutions to clients in response to their accounting queries.
* Use automation to improve efficiencies for our clients' finance function.
* Prioritise tasks for your own portfolio of clients, while monitoring time against budget.
Qualifications
* Have demonstrable experience working in professional practice.
* Experience with statutory accounts preparation, VAT returns, management accounts.
* Be committed to completing the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) qualification (or ACA where study has already commenced).
