The Depot Engineering Manager is seeking a motivated individual for the role of DEM Technician. Responsibilities include technical investigations, fault analysis, report collation, reliability maintenance, fault finding, process mapping, environmental compliance, training, project management, and audits.
Your main responsibilities will be:
* Liaising with suppliers, managing warranties, and participating in technical and contract review meetings.
* Supporting production teams to enhance product performance through process improvements.
* Supporting all GWR depots as part of an integrated team.
* Deputising for the Depot Engineering Manager when necessary.
* Assessing operational competencies and conducting inductions for external and internal teams.
* Managing calibrated tools and equipment to ISO standards.
You'll need to be:
* Proficient in IT software including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
* Hold a recognised apprenticeship and/or NVQ 3 in engineering, preferably electrical bias.
* Knowledge of Network Rail standards, environmental legislation, and depot systems is advantageous.
* Willing to obtain internal auditor qualification.
Additional Information:
The role involves day shifts with occasional out-of-hours work, travel to other sites, and further training for the DEM team.
