Assistant Bodyshop Manager Location: Redhill Salary: Up to £40,000 basic team performance bonus Hours: Monday to Friday (site-based) Overview ISQ Recruitment are currently supporting a well-established and rapidly expanding vehicle repair organisation in the search for an experienced Assistant Bodyshop Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for a customer-focused and organised professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced bodyshop environment and takes pride in delivering a smooth, high-quality repair journey from start to finish. You'll play a key role in supporting the Bodyshop Manager with the day-to-day running of the site, acting as a main point of contact for customers and ensuring repairs progress efficiently while maintaining outstanding service standards. What You'll Be Doing Welcoming customers professionally, completing vehicle check-in and handling all required documentation Managing customer expectations by explaining repair processes, timescales and estimated completion dates (ECD) Acting as the main customer point of contact throughout the repair process, ensuring regular updates are provided Liaising closely with the Bodyshop Manager to ensure customer communication is consistent and service levels are maintained Communicating customer requirements clearly to the production team and ensuring preferred contact methods are followed Creating job cards and ensuring parts ordering processes are completed accurately Uploading invoices correctly and maintaining accurate job file administration Monitoring repair progress and immediately informing customers of any changes to ECD Ensuring a strong understanding of Service Level Agreements (SLA's) with insurance partners and working to agreed standards Collecting customer excess payments and completing all relevant accounting paperwork accurately Completing final quality checks to ensure vehicles leave site repaired correctly and to a high standard Supporting workshop documentation accuracy and ensuring files are complete and compliant Assisting with safety and quality standards across the site, promoting a "right first time" culture Supporting transport operations on-site where required, ensuring drivers are equipped and customer service remains excellent Encouraging customers to leave positive reviews across platforms such as insurer portals, Google and Trustpilot to support CSI/NPS targets Working alongside central support functions to ensure processes are followed correctly and consistently Required Skills & Experience Previous experience in a supervisory, team lead or customer-facing role (automotive/bodyshop experience highly desirable) Strong customer service mindset with the ability to resolve issues professionally and efficiently Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and confident dealing with customers daily Highly organised with strong attention to detail and a process-driven approach Comfortable working in a busy environment with changing priorities and time-sensitive deadlines Good IT skills and confidence learning new systems and job management platforms A solid understanding of bodyshop operations, repair processes and vehicle repair standards A proactive, positive and adaptable approach with a "right first time" attitude Benefits This employer offers an excellent benefits package, including: Up to £40,000 basic salary team performance bonus 28 days holiday (including bank holidays) Healthcare Cash Plan (including gym & retail discounts) Main Dealer Benefits How to Apply If you're an experienced Assistant Bodyshop Manager looking for your next step in Redhill, ISQ Recruitment would love to hear from you.
