Salary G7: £35,412 - £38,20 (plus 5% enhancement for unsociable hours and additional payments for sleeping in duties)
Walsall Council, 24/7 residential childcare role with shift patterns covering weekdays, weekends, bank holidays and sleeping in duties (additional payment).
Role
As a Senior Residential Childcare Worker, you will be creative, solution focused, resilient, resourceful, enthusiastic and motivated to be a positive influence on our children and the team. You will lead decision making and support colleagues in providing direct care, engaging with children and their families to achieve positive outcomes.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
* Hold a Level 3 or 4 qualification in children’s residential care or equivalent.
* Have substantial experience working within a Children’s Residential setting.
* Offer support and guidance to colleagues, engage with children and families, and pursue outcomes aligned with a child‑centred approach that promotes children’s rights.
* Work as part of a 24/7 rota team covering a range of shift patterns.
