The Engineering Technician role is part of a multi-discipline team working across a variety of process areas and supporting the Senior Engineer with creating and managing process documentation (PI & RA). You will provide support to NPP and documentation of existing processes and be involved in compiling documentation packs for various Production Engineering Tasks.
The responsibilities of the Engineering Technician role are (but not limited to):
* Update and maintain Process Instructions (PIs), incorporating feedback from Process Lead, Team Lead and Production Operatives.
* Assist Production Engineer, Process Leader and Team Leader with the training of Production Operatives.
* Highlight any changes required to Risk assessments further to process changes.
* Organise group Risk Assessments and modify accordingly.
* Work with process area to compile and consider upset condition before, during and after incident
* Compiling documentation for Change Control Process (CCB), Trials Requests, and Upset Conditions (UC). Supporting as required at the CCB.
* To provide support and problem solving to designated process areas.This will include work carried out by Production Engineer / Process Lead;
* Trialling of new tools and fixtures.
* Assist with the design of new fixtures.
* Assist with assembly and installation of new tools and fixtures.
* Inspection of existing tooling and arranging repairs and renewals with maintenance department when required.
* Right to live and work in the UK, with ability to obtain SC level clearance
* M ust hold sole British citizenship and you must have continually resided in the UK for a minimum of 5 years
* Hold a BTEC Level 3 in engineering discipline as minimum
* Demonstrate experience of working in a technical engineering department or hold general engineering knowledge
* Proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel and MS Project
* Ability to understand SoP / Process Instruction and interpret this for the user
* Ability to wear full PPE, required for the role
This role will be worked over a 4.5 day week; Monday to Thursday 08:00 – 16:45 and Friday 08:00 – 12:30. Flexibility in this role is critical to the success of supporting the team.
