Nigel Wright Recruitment are excited to be supporting a dynamic and rapidly expanding Software as a Service (SaaS) company in their search for an experienced and motivated Sales Development Lead. Based in Newcastle City Centre, this newly created "player manager" role will play a pivotal role in creating and shaping the sales development efforts and will lead and inspire a team of Sales Development Representatives to generate high-quality leads and support driving revenue growth. Role Profile:
* Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the company's solutions and propositions and the market needs they fulfil.
* Lead a team of Sales Development Representatives, driving SDR activity metrics and grow pipeline to support growth targets
* Partner with the wider sales team and marketing to enhance sales outreach performance
* Participate in the SDR recruiting process and make hiring decisions
* Coach, manage performance, and develop the career paths of team members
* Contact and qualify potential customers, setting appointments for product demos and webinars
* Manage and maintain the CRM system, ensuring all sales related activity is input accurately and efficiently.
* Provide regular reports on sales activities and results.
* Nurture relationships to move them through the sales funnel.
* Anticipate new business by keeping on top of industry trends and conducting market research to identify new opportunities.
Person Specification:
* A proven track record in developing successful sales teams to achieve business targets with a background as an SDR or similar lead generation role
* Demonstrable experience of lead generation within a SaaS or technology focused business
* Experience of using sales and marketing data to contact customers to arrange demos and webinar bookings.
* Knowledge of sales techniques and strategies
* Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills
* Skilled at using CRM software and other sales tools to track sales activity, manage pipelines, and generate reports.
Other Information:
This role will be predominantly based out of new offices in Newcastle City Centre. Whilst there may be some flexibility to work from home occasionally, this is a brand new team therefore the expectation is for this to be more office based.
