The role
As a Commercial Manager, you’ll be involved in managing contracts throughout their lifecycle, negotiating contracts and contract changes, managing trade controls and compliance, and providing quantity surveying services in support of the Nuclear Defence Support business stream.
Responsibilities:
* Develop and fulfill contract requirements, evaluate contract compliance, advise on contractual rights and obligations, and request or approve amendments to contract terms or extensions.
* Act as an escalation point within the relevant project for high risk, complex commercial issues.
* Develop key external commercial customer relationships.
* Support the budget management process by providing input into project reporting for the business’ commercial P&L.
* Raise key commercial issues with higher management through both line management and functional management lines.
* Accountable for managing people, setting direction, and deploying resources.

This role is full time, thirty-seven hours per week, based at our Warrington hub following a hybrid working arrangement of three days in the office and two days working from home.
Essential experience:
* Significant client exposure, demonstrating a proven track record in delivering on accountabilities, including a focus on bid and scope development.
* Proven track record of delivering significant contributions to project commercial strategy and robust commercial management on large and complex contracts and bids.
* Nuclear, Engineering, Construction sector experience is desirable.
Qualifications:
* Educated to degree level with a Law degree or Quantity Surveyor qualification, or equivalent qualification or relevant experience.
