We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team. Responsibilities
* Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and speciality drinks, ensuring quality standards are met.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the coffee station and customer area in accordance with food safety regulations.
* Take customer orders accurately, process payments efficiently, and handle cash or card transactions responsibly.
* Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling snacks or light meals when required.
* Ensure prompt service during busy periods by managing multiple orders simultaneously.
* Uphold high standards of hygiene and safety throughout all duties.
* Provide friendly, attentive service to create a positive experience for all customers.
Skills
* Knowledge of food safety standards relevant to the hospitality industry.
* Previous barista experience is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
* Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment.
* Basic food preparation skills and understanding of hygiene practices.
* Good numeracy skills for handling cash transactions and measuring ingredients accurately.
* Strong time management abilities to prioritise tasks effectively during busy periods.
* Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanour to engage with customers courteously.
