We have an exciting opportunity for Quality/Laboratory Technician to work for our global pharmaceutical client based in Newport. The role is a full-time temporary contract role initially for 11 months with a possible extension working from 8am – 4pm and 9am – 5pm Monday – Friday. This position offers an hourly rate of £12.21 - £16.50 per hour depending on experience, plus 25 days holiday pro rata. Role Description: * Specialist responsible for supporting laboratory operations, specimen processing, and quality assurance within an ISO17025 environment. * Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), regulatory requirements, and company policies. * Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. * Collaborate with team members while working independently when required. * Hours of work rotating between 08:00-16:00 and 09:00-17:00. Duties and Responsibilities: * Perform support tasks related to the processing and analysis of test specimens. * Accurately complete assigned duties in a timely manner. * Safely lift and transfer laboratory samples and equipment (up to 15 kg) using correct techniques.
