The Role
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Application Support Engineer with extensive Microsoft 365 knowledge to join our team. This role involves assisting with the coordination and execution of onboarding new clients, alongside migrating existing clients to new products like CMap Mail. As part of this role, you will act as a key escalation point for issues relating to Microsoft 365, such as Microsoft Entra ID and SharePoint, specifically.
Key responsibilities include:
Customer Onboarding Assistance
* Support the initial set-up of users and customer sites.
* Troubleshoot errors/issues relating to onboarding (Entra ID security permissions, SharePoint Site configuration etc).
* Escalate and project manage errors/issues, acting as liaison between the client and the development team.
* Provide advice to clients relating to Microsoft 365 tenancy set-ups and recommended best practices.
* Assist with the import of client Data into SharePoint, helping to identify and resolve any issues that may occur during the process.
* Execute scripts for bulk changes to customer sites.
Customer Support Assistance
* Act as an internal escalation point for 1st Line Support.
* Work closely with the Support team to assist with client challenges pertaining to their Microsoft 365 tenancy.
* Develop automated solutions for time-consuming tasks when carrying out client data changes.
Maintaining Internal Documentation
* Create and maintain an up-to-date knowledge base for troubleshooting common problems.
* Ensure that Client-specific information/tenancy configuration is captured and recorded.

* A proven ability to deliver under pressure in a fast-paced SME environment.
* Strong work ethic, possessing a 'roll sleeves up' approach.
* Self-starter and a warm engaging character.
* Successful track record of supporting the delivery of multiple projects in parallel to a strict timeframe.
* Ability to take ownership to deliver project activities successfully, managing client expectations, with minimal senior oversight.
* Able to demonstrate good problem-solving capabilities to address key issues and challenges that arise during projects.
* Strong written communication skills, able to author client facing document and written communications with minimal oversight.
* Ability to lead meetings and delivering services to clients.
Qualification and Experience
We are looking for individuals who have a strong working knowledge of the Microsoft 365 ecosystem. Experience and/or certification in the following Microsoft Products/Services is an essential requirement of this role:
* Microsoft SharePoint – Advanced knowledge of SharePoint site configurations and general security permission administration
* Microsoft Entra ID – Strong knowledge of tenant configuration and Identity and Access Management
* PowerShell Scripting – Proficient in PowerShell and other scripting languages to help automate tasks.
