As part of our Net Zero Communities team, you will work with our clients who are primarily Landlords in the Build to Rent (BTR) Property sector. BTR homes are homes developed and built specifically for the rental market. Our Net Zero Communities team provide a range of resident facing services designed to support Landlords in keep things simple, easy and as stress free as possible for the residents of their buildings.
The Billing Manager is responsible for defining the billing strategies for each client, to ensure that contractual SLAs are delivered. You will be leading a team of Senior Advisors with responsibility for the monthly bill plan, accuracy of resident portfolio regularly audited against to client resident logs, complex billing queries and billing complaints resolution. You will play a crucial role in the tariff changes process, ensuring that relevant systems are updated accurately and on time.
What will you be doing?
* Leading and developing your team to be their best through strategic leadership, coaching, mentoring and positive performance management
* Operational KPI reporting and developing action plans to deliver improvement
* Defining and delivering billing strategies for each client to ensure we meet SLAs
* Design and refine operational processes
* Risk reporting and quality assurance within your function
* Oversee the implementation of any new technologies/solutions throughout your area
* Identify demand drivers and work with Business Improvement to remove waste

* Proven experience in similar leadership position within the utility industry
* To be experienced with setting billing strategies
* Advanced Excel knowledge and analysis skills
* A problem-solving approach with excellent organisational and leadership abilities
* Adaptable management style to get results and help individuals achieve their full potential
* Experience of driving change initiatives in a service-based environment
* Ability to influence others to get results, including using appropriate standards of business communication
* Effective interpersonal skills – including approachability to all levels of internal/external contacts
* Capable of visioning future workable solutions as well as a willingness to roll your sleeves up and get involved in day-to-day operations
* Experience of implementing process and systems efficiencies
