Your new school
I am recruiting for a Teacher of Welsh language in a large secondary school in Caerphilly that has over 1000 pupils. The school has high standards of teaching and excellent facilities, allowing the pupils to succeed. The leadership team have a clear vision for the school andmunicate it very well to create an inclusive ethos and a strongmunity feeling.
Your new role
Starting in September, you will be teaching a full-time Welsh timetable. Your job will include:
1. Full teaching responsibilities including planning, preparation and marking.
2. Teach KS3, KS4 and KS5 second language Welsh.
3. Pastoral duties including parents’ evenings and being a form tutor.
What you'll need to succeed
4. You will hold a valid PGCE, ideally with QTS.
5. Previous experience teaching Welsh up to KS5
6. Strong behavioural management skills
7. Hold a valid DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain a new one.
8. Up-to-date EWC registration
